healing and renewing skin after accutane?
I did a 6 month cycle of accutane and have been off it for a month now … it worked for me and I feel great. There is one problem though, after all breakouts my skin is discolored and somewhat scarred my cheek area, so I am wondering how I am to get rid it? I heard of skin resurfacing procedures such as microdermabrasion and type. If ne one been through this plz tell me what ur next step after is accutane. Thanx PS. im still goin to my dermatologist in 2 weeks so dont say I should ask him, cuz I am, I just want to hear from ppl who made it and may B4 give me advice on other
I was on accutane when I was younger. scars suck but if you do microderm rubbed it will not do much. I even went other surgical dermatologist to see about the laser on my face but all they said it would do is to smooth the edges of the scars but they will not go quite that far. The only thing that actually does the time and good care of your skin from now on. do some home ex-foliation on your face once a week will help smooth and get rid of some of the bad coloring. Good luck to you, I know it's hard but it will get better.
